Fixing your 360 images before publishing them

Facebook recently added support for 360 images (it is only missing the zoom in/zoom out feature to be perfect)
Here is a quick guide to fix photos taken with you new 360 camera and adding a copyright notice or logo.

(this is very similar to the “little planet trick”)

1. Upload the photo to your computer

2. Open the imagein Adobe Photoshop

3. Fix the image exposure and/or contrast (or whatever you want to fix) – removing noise and adding a bit of sharpness may not hurt. Take a close look at the seam in the center of the image (where the two lenses meet) and fix anything that is too obvious.

4. At this point you may need to write down the images pixel dimensions >Image>Image Size (5660×2830 in this case)

5. To fix the seam between the two images use >Filter>Other>Offset and type in the half the value of the width (2830 in this case) for the horizontal slider, and make sure wrap around is selected. This will cause this image to move to show you the second seam.
